Role Overview

As a Children's Residential Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experiences of children and young people in our care. This position offers a unique opportunity to foster a nurturing and secure environment that promotes growth and development.

Every day will present you with a variety of experiences, as you engage with children and young people in a manner akin to that of family and friends. Your involvement will be instrumental in their daily lives, providing support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing the lives of the children and young people:

  • Empowering Independence: Assist children and young people with daily tasks, helping them build confidence and self-sufficiency.
  • Establishing Structure: Provide clear boundaries and expectations, fostering a sense of belonging and accountability.
  • Creating Safe Spaces: Develop a secure environment that encourages meaningful interactions and relationship-building.
  • Facilitating Memorable Experiences: Engage children and young people in various activities, promoting fun and adventure as essential components of their lives.

Candidate Profile

While prior experience in a residential setting is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We value transferable skills from educational or caregiving backgrounds. The ideal candidate will possess:
