About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at The Together Trust. As a key member of our residential childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care for vulnerable children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (EBD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to prepare and assist children and young people to fulfill their person-centered plans.
  • Support children and young people with communication and work closely with the team to improve their lives.
  • Work flexibly to undertake a range of duties in a well-planned way that respects and values the children and young people as individuals.
Requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with other staff, parents/carers, and professionals.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, taking the lead when required, maintaining and encouraging open and honest communication.
  • Good standard of written English and IT skills, with the ability to write reports and keep records of children and young people's progress.
  • Transporting children/young people to activities or school is a requirement, with a driving license held for 12 months being desirable.
