Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Ward Clerk in the Emergency Care Directorate at Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the ward, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Key responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, dealing with patients and relatives in a courteous and discreet manner, and working closely with the Service Support Manager - Emergency Care.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems
  • High level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office, WPAS, and iFit
  • Excellent bilingual telephone manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence
