About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the management team in overseeing all aspects of our back-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management team in ensuring the quality of our food and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Manage inventory and kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Develop and grow the chef team, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and meeting Wagamama standards.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
  • Contribute to a culture of fun and inclusivity in the kitchen, encouraging team members to be their best selves.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain high standards in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
