About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective production of food in line with our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage food production to minimize wastage and ensure high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
  • Lead a team of chefs to achieve excellent food quality, presentation, and service standards.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Collaborate with our kitchen team to maintain high levels of hygiene and health and safety standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide training and coaching to junior chefs to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our kitchen operations remain compliant and competitive.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 culinary qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
