Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at The Balmoral Hotel. As a Front Desk Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm and welcoming service to all guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the front desk operations, including checking in and out guests, handling room assignments, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with the Reception Manager to ensure that all guest requests are met and that the hotel's high standards of service are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the hotel's facilities, services, and amenities, in order to provide guests with accurate and helpful information.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure that guests receive a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management systems and software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset.
