Job Overview

Intercontinental Exchange Data Services (ICE Data Services) is enhancing its global sales force and is in search of exceptional sales talent to join its expanding team. The primary focus of this position will be promoting Connectivity services.

The Connectivity Sales Consultant is a proactive sales professional who targets decision-makers in Direct Market Access (DMA), hosting, and connectivity solutions for participants in the financial sector. This role is designed to grow ICE's Connectivity business in the Americas through new client acquisition and expansion efforts. Additionally, the Sales Consultant will collaborate with existing Account Managers and other IDS Sales Consultants to uncover opportunities for upselling Connectivity solutions within the current ICE Data Services client portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and technical authority on ICE Data Services' Connectivity offerings, possessing a thorough understanding of customer use cases and the dynamics of real-time and low-latency trading environments. Engaging with clients, delivering presentations, and preparing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) will be integral to this role, along with liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, and pre-sales teams on detailed aspects of solution design.

This position is best suited for a self-driven individual who enjoys being at the forefront of business initiatives and takes pride in both personal and team achievements. A strong communicator with a solid technical foundation and comprehensive knowledge of the market data and trading landscape from a content, technology, and networking viewpoint is essential. We are looking for a determined sales professional with refined skills in sales strategy, pipeline management, territory oversight, and closing deals, who excels in a challenger sales approach and is highly motivated with the capacity to think critically from both business and technical angles.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive sales experience with a focus on financial markets, particularly in real-time data and trading, with a proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets
  • Understanding of the trading ecosystem, including compliance, risk management, and post-trade use cases
  • Deep familiarity with systems that utilize real-time data to support institutional trading
  • Proficient in the challenger sales methodology
  • Exceptional presentation capabilities
  • Competent in CRM tools, particularly Salesforce
  • Skilled in pipeline management and sales forecasting
  • Strong negotiation abilities
  • Demonstrated history of high closing ratios
  • Prior experience in a data/software vendor, exchange, or trading firm
