About the Role

The Pre-sales Team Leader will play a crucial role in shaping and advancing the service portfolio, conducting feasibility assessments, defining specifications, and overseeing software architecture. Candidates should possess expertise in open network solutions, telecommunications connectivity, cloud architectures, network AI, and contributions to standardization organizations.

Your Responsibilities

Lead the Technology & Architecture CTO Team's initiatives across Europe with global oversight on:

  • Development of Service Portfolio, Feasibility Assessments, and Contributions to Specification Bodies.
  • Establishing a high-performance architecture team for global operations in 5G/edge computing, telecom networks, enterprise private networks, and system integration.
  • Fostering valuable partnerships with silicon vendors (e.g., Intel, NVIDIA, Qualcomm) and hyperscalers (e.g., Microsoft, AWS).
  • Overseeing software architecture that encompasses multiple complex subsystems, client engagement, effort estimation, and scheduling.
  • Accountability for the project's architecture and software stack technology.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in architecting open network solutions in radio, fixed access, and disaggregated networks for switching and routing solutions, guiding multiple development, integration, and verification teams across all layers of the radio network.
  • Background in telecommunications connectivity, Industry 4.0, IoT, and cloud architectures.
  • Some familiarity with developing network architecture, orchestration, and telco cloud solutions.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native principles is advantageous.

Preferred Expertise

  • Experience with silicon/SoCs/middleware software for open network nodes, including fast path acceleration technologies.
  • Knowledge of radio algorithms, scheduling, signaling, and performance enhancement.
  • Experience in network AI is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with integration and verification tools, simulators, coding, and debugging tools.
  • Evidence of contributions to thought leadership content and participation in standardization bodies (e.g., TIP, O-RAN Alliance, ONF) is beneficial.
  • Extensive wireless experience with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.

Security Clearance Requirements

To be considered for this position, obtaining Security Check (SC) clearance is mandatory. Candidates must have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the past five years, along with meeting other criteria and requirements.

During the recruitment process, candidates will be asked questions regarding their eligibility for security clearance, including but not limited to residency and nationality.

Some positions may be restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, candidates may be inquired about their citizenship during the application process.
