Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Intertape Polymer Group (IPG). As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving revenue growth in the packaging industry.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the packaging sector, leveraging your existing and new contacts to build a strong pipeline of potential customers.
- Sales and Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at Packaging Fulfillment Companies and Brand owners, providing solutions-based sales support and driving sales growth.
- Product Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of our product bundle, including consumables, technical products, and automated solutions, and provide training and support to customers as needed.
- Project Management: Prepare quotations and participate in project management, ensuring timely and effective delivery of solutions to customers.
- Customer Support: Provide continuous support to customers throughout the sales process, including installation, training, and problem-solving.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Provide forecasts and visit reports to internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activity.
- Field Feedback: Act as a field feedback resource for new product development, providing valuable insights and feedback to inform product innovation.
- Long-term Business Planning: Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop long-term business plans, driving strategic growth and revenue expansion.
- Product Launch and Marketing: Participate in the development, launch, and marketing of new products and services, ensuring effective communication and execution.
- Process Improvement: Address customer complaints and facilitate the implementation of process improvements, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a solutions-based packaging company, with a strong understanding of the packaging industry and its trends.
- Technical Background: An engineering or technical background is desirable, with a strong understanding of packaging solutions and automation.
- Customer-Centric: A customer-centric approach, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong ability to build relationships and drive sales growth.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Strategic Thinking: A pragmatic, logical, and strategic thinker, with a strong ability to drive new business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Communication and Influencing: Demonstrable track record in effective communication, motivation, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive sales growth and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- CRM and Sales Processes: Clear understanding of sales processes and the importance of forecasting, planning, and using CRM systems.
