About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Workshop Manager to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical part in ensuring optimal Fleet performance and meeting the Operator's requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee Fleet Workshop performance and manage people processes to ensure compliance with legal and safety policies.
  2. Deliver maintenance services and optimize cost performance through the use of resource planning and booking tools.
  3. Optimize the efficiency of Fleet Workshop to meet industry standard performance levels.
  4. Ensure effective engagement, communication, and coaching to support and develop the Fleet Workshop team.
  5. Provide visible and effective leadership for Fleet Workshop teams and support staff.
  6. Build effective and professional relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
  7. Manage and support the maintenance of ISO 9001 quality standard within Fleet Workshop and support Continuous Improvement activity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Relevant industry knowledge and experience of dispersed maintenance operations.
  2. Knowledge of compliance requirements for vehicles and trailers maintained to road transport legislation.
