Kemp Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to lead our client's internal fleet maintenance team in Coventry.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the repair and maintenance of a fleet of circa 70 commercial vehicles, including tractor units, trailers, skip loaders, and front loaders.
- Manage workshop operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to industry standards.
- Coordinate with the Workshop Manager to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Lead a team of HGV Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Conduct regular inspections and pre-MOT checks to identify and address potential issues.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize vehicle availability.
- Proven experience as an HGV Workshop Supervisor or HGV Technician with a strong background in fleet maintenance.
- Industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) or time-served experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Full UK driving license.
