At Volvo Trucks, we're currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at our Coventry location. As a key member of our Service & Workshop team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest possible standard of vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on HGVs according to manufacturer's procedures and safety standards.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with Volvo Standard Times and using Volvo Special Tools where necessary.
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process and work closely with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted.
  • Comply with warranty procedures and ensure accurate completion of job cards and service sheets.
  • Support the development of young trainees and apprentices within the workshop.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in HGV repair and maintenance.
  • Relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry, including a basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
