Employee Relations Specialist

About the Role
In this position, you will report to the ER Manager and contribute to Boots' ambition to become the world's best pharmacy-led, health and beauty retailer. You will provide expert advice on employee relations and policy legislation, taking into account the latest employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance cases, performance and capability issues, and potential gross misconduct cases.
- Coach line managers to make informed decisions, using your practical experience and up-to-date employment law knowledge.
- Respond to email requests for information or advice, and provide face-to-face support to Support Office managers.
- Deliver high customer satisfaction targets by providing professional, friendly, and expert advice.
Requirements
- You will have experience working in a similar or more generalist role, with a strong understanding of employment law and its practical application.
- You must be comfortable giving accurate and commercially focused advice, often in complex situations.
- You will be a strong communicator, able to build great relationships and get to the heart of the issue quickly.
- You will also be a strong influencer, able to get the right balance of coaching and persuasion in every interaction.
