Job Overview

Artisan People Group is seeking a visionary Head of New Product Development to spearhead the creation and launch of innovative products that drive business growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the luxury skincare and makeup industry, with a proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that meet market demands.

The Head of NPD will be responsible for:

  • Industry Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and innovations in colour cosmetics, facial skincare, bath and body, and gifting.
  • Product Development Strategy: Lead the development of product strategies that drive category growth and profitability.
  • Launch Planning: Ensure timely launch of development initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement a 360-degree launch strategy.
  • Marketing Storytelling: Develop compelling marketing stories for new product launches, including compliant product copy and training materials.
  • Supplier Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate costs to maintain budget for new launches.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team within the NPD Department.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, and experience in a management role, preferably in the beauty industry. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
