Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Outreach Worker to join our team at Family Lives. As an Outreach Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting parents and carers of children under 5 at our Westminster Children Centres.

As a fluent Arabic speaker, you will be responsible for developing an understanding of the local area, including services and facilities. You will also engage with vulnerable and isolated families, carrying out home visits as required, and develop good relationships with health visitors and other agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accessible information to parents and carers, particularly those who are marginalised

Requirements:

  • Experience of community and outreach work with diverse communities in an inner-city environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to empathise with parents and carers
  • Non-judgmental approach
  • Ability to network
