Job Overview

They are seeking a knowledgeable Sales Engineer to join their team, responsible for managing existing client accounts while also pursuing new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer:

  • Engage with clients to ascertain their unique requirements, limitations, and operational needs, ensuring that proposals align with these specifications.
  • Create comprehensive proposals detailing the costs associated with core equipment, including installation and ancillary expenses.
  • Represent the organization at significant industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Design the necessary auxiliary systems to ensure the optimal performance of mills, mixers, and other process engineering equipment at client locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to verify that all technical specifications and designs are practical and tailored to the client's operations.
  • Determine project requirements, draft layouts, and compile a thorough list of additional components needed beyond the primary machinery.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Proven sales experience in the capital equipment and engineering sectors.
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical industry processes.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle for capital equipment manufacturing.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Solid knowledge of process systems.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive base salary up to £45,000.
  • Anticipated earnings between £55,000 and £70,000.
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Pension contributions matched by the employer.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus recognized bank holidays.
