Position Overview

As a Technology Asset Coordinator, you will be responsible for configuring computers, workstations, and mobile devices for personnel, as well as maintaining IT hardware such as laptops. Your role will also involve overseeing the procurement and replacement of equipment, while providing support and guidance to colleagues in utilizing this technology.

The work environment is dynamic, requiring precision and effective communication skills. Collaboration with various teams within the IT department and across the organization is essential.

You will engage with different teams on projects and the daily operations of a business with a substantial user base. This includes reaching out to current and prospective colleagues who utilize our equipment to assess their needs and retrieve any unused devices as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the IT department in managing both assets and licenses.
  • Communicate with individuals through various channels, ensuring exceptional customer service and clear communication during team meetings and live discussions.
  • Oversee the availability of IT equipment, placing orders with vendors and entering procurement requests into the order management system.
  • Assemble, repair, and prepare IT devices such as laptops, mobile gadgets, and peripherals for operational use.
  • Monitor the IT Asset team's communication channels, responding promptly in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Provide technical knowledge in the specified areas outlined in the IT Asset Coordinator Person Specification document, ensuring the monitoring, progression, and resolution of IT service management tickets.
  • Maintain accurate records of organizational equipment and software.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to coordinate the distribution and collection of IT assets across the organization.
  • Create knowledge articles and contribute to the upkeep of the knowledge library.
  • Encourage the sharing of best practices, processes, and achievements with other departments.
  • Perform any additional duties that align with the role and responsibilities as required.
  • Implement and adhere to new starter and leaver processes, ensuring accurate audit trails are maintained.
  • Work within established timeframes and ensure all actions taken on requests are documented in the IT service management system, including user communications and resolutions.
