About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Principal Practitioner in Mental Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide you with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and contribute to the development of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, trauma-informed, and specialist psychology services to individuals referred to the Mental Health Liaison Team.
  • Undertake psychological assessments, formulations, brief interventions, and onward care planning for clients with complex physical and mental health needs.
  • Provide psychological consultation, contributions to team meetings, and bring a psychological perspective to presenting distress.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, utilizing research skills for audit, outcomes, policy/service developments, and research.
  • Provide clinical supervision, reflective practice, and post-incident support as needed.

Person Specification
  • Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience of working with complex mental health problems, including distressing psychosis, problems associated with complex relational and emotional needs, and severe depression, anxiety, and trauma.
  • Experience of clinical leadership and providing clinical supervision to psychologists and other professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
