About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Pennine Care Learning Disability Care Hub. As a Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in coordinating service development and engagement, working closely with other Clinical Psychologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality psychological services to adults with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience in providing clinical supervision, teaching, and training. You will be able to work effectively with service users, carers, and families to engage with their needs and provide appropriate psychological support and intervention.

The Learning Disability Care Hub is a dynamic and innovative team that values coproduction and working alongside people with lived experience. We are committed to providing trauma-informed care and promoting the well-being of individuals with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate service development and engagement, working closely with other Clinical Psychologists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide clinical supervision, teaching, and training to other professionals
  • Work effectively with service users, carers, and families to engage with their needs and provide appropriate psychological support and intervention
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of psychological pathways, training, and research
Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the BPS
  • Current registration as a clinical psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision, teaching, and training
  • Ability to work effectively with service users, carers, and families
  • Knowledge of the national and regional legislation, guidance, and policy directives in relation to the development and delivery of psychological therapies with people with a learning disability
