Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the NHS, specializing in Learning Disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, teaching, and training to psychologists and other professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, and experience in managing demand for psychological services.

The Learning Disabilities Care Hub is a multi-agency team that values coproduction and working alongside people with lived experience. The postholder will collaborate with other Clinical Psychologists to take an active role in coordinating service development and engagement.

The successful candidate will have a well-developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialized psychological therapies and approaches for adults with a Learning Disability. They will also have the ability to work with service users, carers, and families to engage with their needs and provide them with appropriate psychological support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychologists and other professionals
  • Teach and train others on clinical interventions
  • Manage demand for psychological services
  • Collaborate with other Clinical Psychologists to coordinate service development and engagement
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Experience in managing demand for psychological services
  • Well-developed knowledge of specialized psychological therapies and approaches for adults with a Learning Disability
Working Arrangements

The post is full-time and permanent, with a salary of £62,215 to £72,293 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to use a car or have access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint.
