Job SummaryTo support the work of the multidisciplinary team in the development of a pioneering and newclinical pathway designed to meet the needs of older people presenting with complexemotional and relational needs.The postholder will be involved in a number of roles including co-facilitating several skills based groups, supporting the recommendations identified within clinical psychologicalformulations, sharing psychological thinking, skills and knowledge within the wider multidisciplinary team and care home liaison and life story work. In addition, there are opportunities to be involved in being a core member of a newly established trust wide olderpeoples research unit, specifically established to increase the competence and confidence of the workforce to engage in research activities across Pennine Care. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical To undertake clinically supervised work with clients from the Complex Emotional and Relational Needs Pathway. This will primarily include the cofacilitation of various skills based groups and thedevelopment and preparation of materials for these groups.

Working with the wider multidisciplinary team to support the recommendations identified in individual psychological formulations under clinical supervision. To work jointly with other members of the multidisciplinary team providing appropriate psychological and psychoeducational interventions. To undertake other clinically relevant activities supporting the work of the clinical psychologists and other members of the multidisciplinary team including care home liaison, life story work, developing psychological formulations, scoring treatmentquestionnaires, undertaking audit work and completing literature reviews. To attend and contribute towards multidisciplinary care planning meetings, ward rounds and other clinical meetings as appropriate.

Organisational To participate as a team member of Psychological Therapies Services within the Older Peoples Secondary Care Psychological Therapies team. To attend relevant team and service meetings. To maintain good clinical records of activity with clients / patients in psychology and multi disciplinary notes as appropriate. To liaise with members of other multi-disciplinary teams as required.

To participate in clinically relevant audit activity as directed by the Team Manager of Older Peoples Secondary Care Psychological Therapies Team. To follow Trust policies and procedures and work within the relevant Health and Safety guidelines. To work within the guidelines for Assistant Clinical Psychologists recommended by the Division of Clinical Psychology. To receive regular management and clinical supervision.

To attend relevant Assistant Psychology Group meetings and special interest group meetings as appropriate and by agreement with Team Manager of the Older Peoples Secondary Care Psychological Therapies Service.
