About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychology Department Lead to join our multidisciplinary team at All Saints Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the psychology department in providing specialist mental health services for men who are deaf or have complex communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead individual and group interventions, diagnostic assessments, and cognitive evaluations
  • Provide guidance, support, and supervision to junior psychologists and assistants
  • Support clinical teams in creating reports and developing new initiatives
  • Participate in Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance Meetings
  • Develop and implement evidence-based approaches to new clinical initiatives
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways

Requirements:

  • Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society
  • Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology from a recognised training body
  • Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users
  • Ability to supervise junior members of the team and identify and resolve problems
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with trauma and people with complex needs
  • Experience in using a range of therapeutic interventions and psychological assessments
