Position: Educational Outreach Coordinator

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Reporting to: Education Manager

Role Overview:
As an Educational Outreach Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with educational institutions to offer assistance to students and their families who are at risk of being permanently excluded from school. You will focus on providing outreach support to those students who face significant barriers to accessing education, by identifying, assessing, and evaluating the effectiveness of the interventions implemented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with schools to deliver tailored support for children and their families, ensuring that those in greatest need receive the necessary resources and guidance.
  • Familiarize yourself with local services available within the community, facilitating access for families requiring additional support in areas such as development, health, learning, and overall wellbeing.

Risk Management:
  • Contribute to the awareness of risks while performing your duties and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with assigned cases and service delivery to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users.

Support Plan Management:
  • Identify, design, and implement intervention strategies aimed at preventing permanent exclusion from educational settings.
  • Plan and organize weekly support sessions tailored to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Assist in the development of projects and collaborate with colleagues to provide valuable insights and feedback.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with relevant school policies and procedures, reporting any concerns or incidents, including safeguarding and behavioral issues, following established protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal departments, partner organizations, agencies, and community volunteers.
