Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager at Motorway, you will play a pivotal role in driving our team's success. You will provide essential technical guidance and foster operational excellence to enhance our personalized vehicle selling and acquisition platform.

This role is not without its challenges. Our Engineering Managers are responsible for nurturing their teams' well-being while delivering cutting-edge products. We are seeking Engineering Managers to oversee our Dealer and Transportation team. This exciting initiative will leverage the latest machine learning techniques to optimize the experiences of our sellers and dealers, ensuring a seamless user experience that combines the elegance of consumer-facing platforms with B2B functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership: Mentor team members and promote their professional growth through constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the technical authority for your team, emphasizing quality, performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability. While this is not a hands-on position, you will guide system design and architectural decisions.
  • Monitor metrics and reporting to facilitate ongoing improvements.
  • Lead design and planning efforts by clarifying uncertainties, addressing dependencies, and providing high-level engineering estimates.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to enhance the engineering experience at Motorway.
