Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for leading the occupational therapy service within the division, driving clinical outcomes, and managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the occupational therapy service within the division, developing and implementing strategies to improve clinical outcomes and service delivery.
  • Manage a small team of occupational therapists, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits and service development projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and external partners.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience as an occupational therapist, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Postgraduate training in sensory integration or evidence of using sensory approaches in practice.
  • Experience working in secure services or mental health care.
  • Ability to independently undertake tasks related to HR, investigations, and safeguarding.
  • Experience leading and inspiring others in their career.
