The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for leading the occupational therapy team and providing specialist mental health services to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the occupational therapy team and provide specialist mental health services to individuals with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to promote independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Post-registration clinical expertise with a minimum of 3 years of experience in adult mental health settings.
  • Experience working in secure settings and with individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Specialist training in occupational therapy and ongoing continuing professional development.
  • Ability to apply and promote occupational therapy skills, including carrying out specialized assessments and facilitating therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff.
