Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Nurse who is dynamic, enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and passionate about advancing healthcare through innovative research practices. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical research, leadership skills, and hold a relevant nursing qualification along with registration with the appropriate regulatory body.

The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical management, oversight of late phase studies, and contributing to the feasibility and setup of clinical trials in collaboration with our Research and Development team. Leadership and management for the Clinical Trials delivery unit, along with driving education and assessment programs for the team, are also key aspects of this role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Management of staff, including appraisals, workload, performance, and adherence to Trust policies.
  • Patient recruitment and oversight of Late Phase portfolio management.
  • Supporting Senior Research Nurse Manager with day-to-day delivery of the late phase portfolio.
  • Managing documentation to support research activities.
  • Promoting and supporting departmental education and training.
  • Implementing service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring maintenance of quality standards within the delivery service.

Key Requirements

  • 1st level registered nurse or equivalent healthcare professional.
  • Masters degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
