Position Overview

As a key player in our product teams, Merchandise Strategists are instrumental in shaping the inventory and financial tactics that drive our offerings. By analyzing current sales trends, inventory metrics, financial objectives, and market developments, our Merchandise Strategists formulate strategies that enhance product performance and profitability. They project future product outcomes, devise sales tactics across various channels, and manage inventory on a global scale.

This role is based at our Regional Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhancing sales and profitability for your designated areas by developing your product assortment and strategizing departmental and regional plans.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to create business strategies, overseeing profitability, and adapting to changes while making informed decisions based on sales and inventory data.
  • Investigating global market trends and utilizing insights to create the most effective and profitable financial plans.
  • Anticipating and executing product distribution strategies by assessing sales figures and inventory levels, accounting for variations across channels.
  • Effectively communicating sales and inventory analysis, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior management, providing insights on sales trends, customer preferences, and innovative ideas.
  • Overseeing inventory management and pricing strategies at both the key item and SKU levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Background in Merchandise Planning.
  • Enthusiasm for the A&F brands and the responsibilities of the role.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to excel in collaborative environments and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to take on the responsibility of managing a segment of a multi-billion-dollar business.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence in communicating with senior leaders.
  • Capacity to balance analytical skills with a creative mindset.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • A desire for continuous learning and growth.
