Position Overview

The EMEA Merchandising Operations Lead is a pivotal role within our organization, focusing on enhancing our digital subscription services and shaping the future of the direct-to-consumer experience.

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of our Localised Operating Model for merchandising, ensuring that local teams across Europe are equipped with comprehensive control over their operations while aligning with global and regional objectives.

You will collaborate with teams spanning over 50 territories across Europe, overseeing the prompt execution of local page builds and quality assurance checks for all markets. A structured regional review process will be conducted to finalize pages for executive approval and global visibility. You will also provide indirect support to a team of regional reviewers, offering guidance and documentation on weekly requirements.

As the EMEA Merchandising Operations Lead, you will uphold brand integrity at the highest level, ensuring that local markets adhere to global content priorities, seasonal campaigns, marketing strategies, and diversity initiatives while being sensitive to local nuances. You will engage with the Merchandising team to stay informed on all aspects of local, regional, and global merchandising strategies, contributing to editorial discussions and content prioritization meetings to keep our merchandising approach engaging, innovative, and locally relevant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Localised Operating Model for Merchandising
  • Ensure timely completion of all local page builds across Europe
  • Manage the regional review team and process
  • Create and maintain a weekly checklist of regional/local priorities
  • Onboard and train new EMEA merchandising staff on the Localised Operating Model
  • Conduct weekly Merchandising Zoom meetings for all EMEA merchandisers
  • Enhance and streamline Localised Operating Model processes and workflows
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the Content Management System (CMS)
  • Collaborate with the Global Programming team on weekly operations

Qualifications

  • Experience in a digital platform/CMS is essential
  • Preferred experience in Quality of Experience (QE), Quality Assurance (QA), or Quality Control (QC)
  • A minimum of 2 years in subscription video on demand (SVOD) management or content programming
  • Familiarity with Disney & Fox brands and popular intellectual properties
  • Knowledge of iOS/Android platforms and various devices
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Airtable is a plus
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint
