Amazon Web Services (AWS) - EMEA Events Coordinator

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is in search of a talented and proactive EMEA Events Coordinator to enhance the cloud computing sector across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute significantly to a pioneering technology organization.

The EMEA Events Coordinator position encompasses the design, improvement, execution, and assessment of influential B2B event initiatives. This is a fixed-term contract role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable event initiatives throughout EMEA
  • Oversee event projects from inception to completion, including strategic planning, objective setting, budget oversight, project organization, stakeholder engagement, execution, outcome tracking, and post-event analysis
  • Tailor global event initiatives to meet local needs
  • Optimize processes to effectively deliver marketing event support to various internal teams
  • Supervise event agencies and service providers
  • Leverage data and client feedback for ongoing improvement of event initiatives and attendee experience
  • Create and manage marketing materials and assets such as branded displays and promotional merchandise
  • Generate results including comprehensive ROI reports
  • Encourage innovation and forward-thinking approaches
About the Team
The EMEA Events & Sponsorship Team consists of dedicated event, program, and sponsorship professionals recognized for delivering exceptional event strategies, planning, facilitation, and execution for AWS events and third-party trade exhibitions. We prioritize our customers, both externally and internally, driving innovation and making history while enjoying the journey.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in an event-focused role
  • Proven track record in developing, managing, and executing successful B2B event programs from start to finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Creative mindset with problem-solving skills and comfort in ambiguous situations
  • Previous experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams
  • Proficiency in using data and metrics for measuring impact and driving improvements
  • Willingness to travel and work independently across time zones, adapting between creative ideation and process execution
  • Ability to influence effectively without direct authority
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in a global technology organization
  • Background in managing events similar to AWS Summits, AWS Cloud Days, and AWS re:Invent
  • Experience in creating innovative brand presence at major B2B trade exhibitions
