About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a key member of our Container Services team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced containerized solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain expertise in cloud-native applications and container orchestration services provided by AWS.
  • Partner with Go-To-Market leaders to understand customer and partner requirements.
  • Use technical expertise to help develop sales programs and identify new workloads, market segments, and opportunities that can be served by AWS Container Services.
  • Provide thought leadership in terms of looking beyond technology and considering the value technology creates for our customers.
  • Interact, communicate, and partner with other teams within AWS, including product/services teams, field solutions architecture, sales, marketing, business development, and professional services.

Requirements
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities.
  • Design/implementation/deployment experience of advanced Containerized solutions.
  • Design/implementation/deployment experience of Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Container architecture, design or development, deploying large scale applications based on an event driven architecture and based on serverless solutions like AWS Lambda, deployment and operations of workloads on AWS using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Fargate, Kubernetes or others.
  • Working knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Exposure to and experience in operating container clusters with ECS, Kubernetes, Docker and others.
  • Understanding of the container ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.
  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
