Senior Security Architect at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch)

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) division is dedicated to enhancing revenue, adoption, and growth across a diverse range of clients, from small and mid-sized enterprises to large-scale organizations in various sectors, including the public sector.

The AWS Global Support team is committed to delivering exceptional support to top-tier companies developing mission-critical applications utilizing AWS services.

The AWS Industries (AWSI) Security Specialist team is in search of a Senior Security Architect to guide clients in executing security best practices and achieving strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in security, resilience, and compliance, with experience spanning multiple industries.

They will interact with clients at the highest levels to assist them in deploying intricate security strategies on the AWS platform.

This role will require close collaboration with AWS partners to facilitate the transition of business applications to the cloud.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading security discussions with major AWS clients
  • Managing senior stakeholders to achieve results on the AWS platform
  • Advising clients on the integration of AWS security measures into their existing frameworks
  • Driving strategic outcomes for clients while minimizing risk
  • Collaborating with AWS teams to address security issues
  • Serving as a thought leader in the security domain and contributing to industry resources
  • Establishing relationships with industry professionals and decision-makers
  • Keeping AWS leadership updated on client engagement activities

A typical day for a Senior Security Architect involves facilitating strategic discussions, enabling client success through security best practices, and empowering the security community within AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in technology sectors such as cloud computing, systems engineering, and security
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with cloud architecture
  • Experience in infrastructure and database architecture
  • Background in working with end-user or developer communities
  • Experience in deploying cloud or virtualization solutions for enterprise clients
