AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) is seeking a dedicated leader for the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) to manage the technical support and security response for both logical and physical data center infrastructures. This role is critical in safeguarding AWS assets, clients, and partners. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in security operations, particularly in managing technical teams within a 24/7 operational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute security strategies and protocols that align with established policies and standards.
  • Oversee physical security operations and incident responses across AWS data centers.
  • Lead a team focused on recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
  • Evaluate security vulnerabilities and spearhead mitigation initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate security risks and insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Innovate and implement solutions to bolster security measures.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to address and resolve security issues.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and resolve security-related challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in security operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficient in Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
  • Technical degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in security operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud Environment.
  • Proficiency in Shell/Bash/Python programming languages.
  • Experience in incident response management.
  • Expertise in systems and network architecture.
  • Familiarity with Physical Security Access Control Systems (PSACS).
