Principal Security Solutions Architect at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch)

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) division is pivotal in fostering revenue growth, adoption, and expansion from small to mid-market accounts, as well as enterprise-level clients across diverse sectors, including the public sector.

The AWS Global Support team is dedicated to delivering exceptional support to top-tier companies developing mission-critical applications utilizing AWS services.

The AWS Industries (AWSI) Security Specialist Solutions Architect team is in search of a Principal Security Solutions Architect (SA) to guide clients in the adoption of security best practices and to drive strategic results.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in security, resilience, and compliance, with experience across various industries.

They will engage with clients at senior levels to assist them in implementing intricate security strategies on the AWS platform.

This role will necessitate close collaboration with AWS partners to facilitate the transition of business applications to the cloud.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading security discussions with major AWS clients
  • Managing senior stakeholders to achieve outcomes on the AWS platform
  • Advising clients on the integration of AWS security controls into their existing frameworks
  • Driving strategic client outcomes while mitigating risks
  • Collaborating with AWS teams to address security challenges
  • Serving as a thought leader in the security domain and contributing to industry knowledge
  • Building relationships with industry professionals and decision-makers
  • Keeping AWS leadership updated on client engagement activities

A typical day for a Principal Security Solutions Architect involves steering strategic discussions, enabling client success through security best practices, and empowering the security community within AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in technology domains such as cloud computing, systems engineering, and security
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture
  • Experience in infrastructure and database architecture
  • Experience engaging with end users or developer communities
  • Experience in deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions for enterprise clients
