Principal Security Solutions Architect at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch)

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) division is dedicated to enhancing revenue, adoption, and growth across a spectrum of clients, from small and mid-sized enterprises to large-scale organizations in various sectors, including the public sector.

The AWS Global Support team is committed to delivering exceptional support to leading organizations developing mission-critical applications utilizing AWS services.

The AWS Industries (AWSI) Security Specialist Solutions Architect team is on the lookout for a Principal Security Solutions Architect (SA) to guide clients in adopting security best practices and achieving strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in security, resilience, and compliance, with experience spanning multiple industries.

They will interact with clients at the highest levels to assist them in executing intricate security strategies on the AWS platform.

This role necessitates close collaboration with AWS partners to facilitate the transition of business applications to the cloud.

The primary responsibilities of this role encompass:

  • Leading security discussions with major AWS clients
  • Managing senior stakeholders to drive results on the AWS platform
  • Advising clients on the integration of AWS security measures into their frameworks
  • Steering strategic client outcomes while mitigating risks
  • Collaborating with AWS teams to address security issues
  • Serving as a thought leader in the security domain and contributing to industry resources
  • Cultivating relationships with industry professionals and decision-makers
  • Keeping AWS leadership apprised of client engagement activities

A typical day for a Principal Security Solutions Architect involves steering strategic discussions, enabling client success through security best practices, and empowering the security community within AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
  • Experience in technology domains such as cloud computing, systems engineering, security
  • Communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Knowledge of cloud architecture
  • Experience in infrastructure and database architecture
