About the Role

Cloud Direct is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Consultant to join our Azure Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex cloud solutions to our clients, leveraging your expertise in Azure services and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Practice Area colleagues to design and implement enterprise-level Azure Public Cloud solutions.
  • Deliver and optimize customer workloads into Microsoft Azure, providing deployment guidance and supporting the development of cloud adoption models.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality design documents, ensuring a flexible approach to change.
  • Work with Solution Architects and Project Managers to improve and refine approach, tooling, and delivery of repeatable solutions.
  • Enforce and evolve best practices and internal processes for documentation and delivery.
  • Transfer knowledge of technical solutions to internal teams and clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in IT consulting, technology, and solutions.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure networking, virtual machines, backup, DR, monitoring, security, DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop deployment is highly advantageous.
  • A passion for Azure technologies and a desire to continue learning.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful Azure projects on time and to budget.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage own time independently.
  • Ability to technically own projects through to completion.
  • High standards of technical documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Azure Administrator qualifications.
  • Understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Azure Web Apps, Azure SQL, and application development/transformation.
  • Experience relevant to Public Cloud migrations, especially technologies such as Citrix, VMware, Hyper-V, IIS, SQL, Windows, and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Completion of Microsoft Azure exams AZ-300 / 303, AZ-301/ 304, or AZ-500.
