AWS Security Operations Lead

The AWS Security Operations Lead is responsible for directing the technical support and security response for both logical and physical systems within data centers, ensuring the safeguarding of AWS assets, clients, and partners. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in security management, particularly in a continuous operations environment, and will demonstrate a strong understanding of security protocols and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute security protocols and practices in accordance with established policies and guidelines
- Oversee physical security operations and incident responses across AWS data facilities
- Lead a team focused on recruitment, performance management, and professional development
- Evaluate security weaknesses and spearhead remediation initiatives
- Convey security risks and insights to relevant stakeholders
- Innovate and implement solutions to bolster security frameworks
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve security issues
- Provide technical assistance to clients and address security-related challenges

Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in security operations
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity
- Proficient in Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems
- Technical degree or equivalent professional background
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Desirable Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in security operations
- In-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud Environment
- Proficiency in Shell/Bash/Python programming languages
- Experience in incident response management
- Expertise in systems and network architecture
- Familiarity with Physical Security Access Control Systems (PSACS)
