Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data center environments. You will leverage your expertise in building automation systems (BAS), mechanical engineering principles, and industry best practices to ensure the seamless operation of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Continuously research and implement industry-leading practices and innovations within your domain. Share your insights and experiences with colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Teamwork: Actively seek input from team members, incorporating their feedback to enhance your own performance. Identify areas for improvement in team dynamics and stakeholder relationships, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of UPS systems, generators, medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems, and building management systems (BMS). Demonstrate proficiency with various BMS platforms such as Niagara, StruxureWare, FNT, JSON, MQTT, and OBIX.
    • Experience in configuring and operating SQL database systems.
    • Proven ability to perform commissioning, qualification, and change control activities related to BMS, encompassing HVAC, chiller plants, domestic and process water systems, and building automation systems.
    • Expertise in BAC-net, Modbus, TCP/IP configuration, SNMP communication protocols, Active Directory security, and Microsoft Office tools.
    • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and general knowledge of CSA disciplines.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required. Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
