Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Center Facility Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of our cutting-edge data center infrastructure.

As a Data Center Facility Engineer, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the electrical and mechanical systems within our data centers. This includes performing routine checks, conducting troubleshooting procedures, and ensuring compliance with strict service level agreements (SLAs). You will also be responsible for managing contractors who perform maintenance tasks and upholding the highest safety standards within the team.

This position requires a proactive and self-managed individual with a strong problem-solving aptitude. You should possess a process-oriented approach, capable of adapting to dynamic operational situations and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel within the data center by implementing and enforcing rigorous safety protocols.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, including the maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections and readings on all data center infrastructure components.
  • Supervise external contractors engaged in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Be available to respond to emergency situations as required, working flexible shifts when necessary.
