We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team at NTT Global Data Centers EMEA GmbH. As a critical member of our facilities team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance and Operations
- Plan, manage, and implement the delivery of facilities maintenance services to our data centers.
- Provide engineering services and guidance on property matters affecting the on-going management and development of the data centers.
- Maintenance and Repair
- Provide a customer-focused service and a high standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Proactively identify and report maintenance needs to ensure timely completion of PPMs and reactive work.
- Equipment Management
- Monitor and maintain equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the data centers.
- Identify faults and accurately diagnose root causes.
- Statutory Compliance
- Oversight of statutory compliance, including water treatment and closed systems.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise staff, both in-house and external suppliers, to deliver a highly focused client service.
- Experience
- Experience in facilities, operations, or engineering in a data center or other critical environment.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge and understanding of engineering operations within business-critical environments.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A flexible but non-comprising approach to service delivery.
- Ability to discuss and understand technical problems and resolutions with engineering specialists.
- Qualifications
- 18th Edition certified or similar electrical qualification.
- IOSH – Working Safely.
- Good understanding of data center systems or other critical environments.
- A/C/Chiller experience would be advantageous.
- Water treatment experience (cooling systems).
- Commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service.
- A calm manner, able to work under pressure.
- Good numerical and literacy skills and proficient IT skills.
