Mobile Family Support Specialists

At Norfolk, we are committed to transforming our approach to family engagement, emphasizing practitioner involvement and relationship-driven practices. Through our initiative, Vital Signs, we aim to collaborate with entire family networks and engage with the broader system to empower families, helping them leverage their strengths to achieve optimal outcomes.

Our innovative model consolidates a team of experts within a central hub, designed to deliver intensive, short-term interventions that prevent the need for care placements, mitigate escalation to long-term care, and facilitate smoother transitions in placements.

We seek Mobile Family Support Specialists who will actively provide assistance and interventions to families and youth, enabling them to reach their fullest potential through the implementation of both the New Roads and Emergency Crisis Support services. You will play a vital role in the care planning process by engaging in statutory reviews, planning meetings, and progress assessments as necessary.

To be part of our New Roads service, candidates should possess a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy, a readiness to pursue relevant training, and the capability to build effective relationships with children. We will assist you in obtaining an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, which must be completed within 18 months of your appointment.

Above all, we value individuals who are passionate about supporting young people, possess strong listening skills, demonstrate patience and understanding, and are genuinely committed to helping youth achieve the best possible outcomes in their lives.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers while making a significant impact on the lives of young individuals.
