The Outreach Service is dedicated to assisting families facing challenges to avert escalation of needs, mitigate risks, and prevent family or placement disruptions, thereby fostering successful and enduring stability.

We are seeking Outreach Support Specialists to enhance our growing team. Your role will involve working closely with young individuals and their families in their residences, delivering direct assistance to avert family disintegration in a child-centered manner to achieve favorable outcomes. Occasional overnight stays in the homes may be necessary.

Our team is committed to providing an outreach service around the clock, with the goal of maintaining family unity during crises and facilitating a community support framework if extended assistance is needed. This may include offering respite or engaging activities in the community with families or young individuals, conflict resolution, de-escalation strategies, support with household tasks, referrals to additional services, and fostering relationships and communication skills.

A valid, clean driving license and daily access to a vehicle are essential requirements.

Ideally, candidates will possess experience in working with children and a solid understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable youth. Proficiency in literacy and numeracy is required, along with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team are crucial.

The position entails working evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and overnight stays as needed.

To apply, please download an application form and attach it to your online submission instead of your CV.

We aim to inspire and motivate our staff to collaborate effectively, optimize our work environments, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and deliver exceptional services to Norfolk and its residents. Flexibility is integral to our operations, with hybrid working being a key aspect for many roles. Our advanced technology platform and equipment facilitate seamless remote connectivity and collaboration. Good broadband connectivity is a prerequisite.

Before applying, we recommend reviewing the full job description to effectively demonstrate how you meet the necessary criteria.
