Role Overview: Peripatetic Outreach Workers

Through our initiative, Vital Signs, we aim to enhance the lives of children and families in Norfolk by engaging with entire family networks and leveraging systemic support to empower families in building on their strengths for optimal outcomes.

Our innovative model, centered around a collaborative team of specialists, is designed to deliver intensive, short-term interventions. These interventions are crucial in preventing unnecessary entry into care, avoiding escalation to long-term placements, and facilitating smoother transitions for families.

We are seeking dedicated Peripatetic Outreach Workers who will actively provide support and interventions to families and young individuals, ensuring they can reach their fullest potential. This includes implementing both the New Roads and Emergency Crisis Support services. Your role will involve contributing to the care planning process by participating in necessary statutory reviews, planning meetings, and progress assessments.

Candidates for our New Roads service should possess a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy, a readiness to engage in relevant training, and the capability to build effective relationships with children. We will assist you in achieving an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, which must be completed within 18 months of your appointment.
