About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Support Matters. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, enabling them to live independently and fulfill their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming as required.
- Cooking and Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for our service users.
- Domestic Support: Assist with household chores, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Medication Administration: Administer medication as required, in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Care Planning: Work with our service users to develop and implement personalized care plans, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Support and Enablement: Provide emotional support and encouragement to our service users, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably in a supported living environment.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our service users and their families.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Driving License: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance would be an advantage.
