Mobile Family Support Workers

At Norfolk, we are dedicated to transforming our approach to family engagement, emphasizing practitioner involvement and relationship-centered methodologies. Through our initiative, Vital Signs, we aim to support families across Norfolk by leveraging their strengths to achieve optimal outcomes.

Our innovative model brings together a specialized team through a central hub, focusing on delivering intensive, short-term interventions. This approach is designed to avert unnecessary placements in care, prevent escalation to long-term care, mitigate placement disruptions, and facilitate smooth transitions between placements.

We are seeking Mobile Family Support Workers who will actively provide assistance and interventions to families and young individuals, ensuring they can reach their fullest potential in life. This will involve implementing both the New Roads and Emergency Crisis Support services. You will play a vital role in the care planning process by engaging in statutory reviews, planning meetings, and progress discussions as necessary.

To be part of our New Roads service, candidates should possess a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy, demonstrate a willingness to pursue relevant training, and have the capability to establish effective relationships with children. We will assist you in achieving an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, which must be completed within 18 months of your appointment.

Above all, a genuine passion for supporting young people is essential. You should be an attentive listener, exhibit patience and understanding, and be committed to helping young individuals achieve their best possible outcomes in life.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers while making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.

To apply, please download the application form and attach it to your online submission instead of your CV.

We recommend reviewing the complete job description to effectively demonstrate how you meet the necessary criteria.
