The Outreach Service is dedicated to assisting families in distress to avert further complications, mitigate risks, and prevent family or placement disintegration, thereby fostering successful and enduring stability.

We are seeking Outreach Support Specialists to become integral members of our growing team. Your role will involve engaging with young individuals and their families in their own residences, delivering direct assistance to avert family disintegration in a child-centered manner to achieve favorable outcomes. Occasional overnight stays in the homes may be necessary. A proactive, adaptable, and responsive approach to the needs of young people is essential.

Our team provides a comprehensive outreach service around the clock, aiming to maintain family unity by offering support during crises and facilitating the establishment of community resources for extended assistance when required. This support may include providing respite or positive activities within the community for families and young individuals, conflict resolution, de-escalation strategies, assistance with household tasks, referrals to additional services, and fostering relationships and communication skills, alongside providing guidance, containment, and reassurance.

A valid, clean driving license and daily access to a vehicle are mandatory.

Ideally, candidates will possess experience in working with children and a solid understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable youth. Proficiency in literacy and numeracy is required, along with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team are crucial.

The position entails working evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional overnight stays.
