Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and support them in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN, including behavior management and communication techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEN, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons, including adapting materials and resources to meet the needs of students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students with SEN.
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, including the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
