Position: Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Civils Project Manager to enhance our operations within the Hinkley Point C initiative. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Civil Engineering, particularly in Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures.

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time with potential for hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Hinkley Point C team. Your experience in managing construction projects involving concrete frameworks will be essential. You will ensure that all tasks are executed punctually, in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, and within the established budget.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing resources (personnel, finances, and physical assets) to ensure project completion safely, on schedule, and to the expected quality standards, while maximizing client satisfaction and profitability.
  • Monitoring the financial aspects of the contract, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in line with Kier's Operating Framework and Project Lifecycle Management.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients to ensure their requirements are met effectively.
  • Ensuring project scheduling in P6 is detailed enough for operational teams to deliver projects while maintaining contractual compliance.

Candidate Profile:

This role is suitable for individuals who possess:

  • A relevant qualification (Management qualification / NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree).
  • Chartered Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers, APM, or an equivalent body.
  • Substantial experience managing high-value projects from pre-construction through to delivery.
  • The ability to define project requirements and motivate the team to achieve the desired outcomes in terms of quality, cost, and timeline.
