Position: Project Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Civils Project Manager to enhance our team focused on large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Civil Engineering, particularly in Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures.

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time with potential for hybrid working arrangements

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Hinkley Point C initiatives. Your experience in managing construction projects involving concrete frameworks will be essential. Your primary duties will include ensuring timely task execution, compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, and maintaining budgetary constraints.

Your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing resources, including personnel, finances, and physical assets, to deliver assigned projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while maximizing client satisfaction and profitability.
  • Conducting financial oversight and supervision of contracts, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in line with Kier's operational frameworks and project lifecycle management.
  • Fostering strong working relationships with clients to meet their expectations effectively.
  • Programming projects in P6 with sufficient detail to enable operational teams to execute the projects while ensuring contractual compliance.

Candidate Profile:

This position is well-suited for individuals who possess:

  • A relevant qualification (Management qualification / NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree).
  • Chartered membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers, APM, or an equivalent body.
  • Substantial experience managing high-value projects from pre-construction through to delivery.
  • The ability to identify requirements and lead the team to achieve desired outcomes in terms of quality, cost, and schedule.
