**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Lead to join our Civil Engineering Design Management Team (DMT) within the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. As a Civil Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant civil engineering design solutions. You will work closely with the project team to develop and implement design strategies, manage risks, and optimize project outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Accountable for the integrated delivery of civil engineering design from concept to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
  • Responsible for the development of Project Work Requests (PWR) and Early Warnings (EW) on civil engineering scope, working closely with the contract management team.
  • Ensure Engineering Project Controls receive accurate input data for schedule updates and support the Engineering Delivery Manager and Engineering Project Controls team in agreeing annual contract budgets.
  • Provide Programme Directors with support to develop business cases, including client Contract and Designer information.
  • Support the management of Engineering risks and opportunities on behalf of the Programme Directors.
  • Coordinate with the Plant Integration Configuration Engineer to ensure RC2 and Post-RC2 design changes are properly assessed and implemented.

**Requirements**

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and nuclear industry design processes.
  • Experience in project management and organizational skills, with a focus on quality, cost, and schedule management.
  • Understanding of quality requirements, Health & Safety legislation, and Nuclear Site License requirements.
  • Ability to travel regularly between project sites and engineering entities.
